Contemporary artist, Chris Brandell, proves that talent combine with diligence creates masterpieces. Brandell works on her craft daily in her Vienna, Virginia studio. She "creates small wet-on-wet oil paintings daily while working on large scale oil and acrylic pieces over extended periods of time."
Brandell's artistic journey was "initiated and inspired by Joanna Abizaid of Cline Rose Interior Design. Joanna not only introduced Chris to a wonderful group of creative business women but ultimately has been the catalyst for a life change that exposed Chris to new forms of expression for her color passion."
We were so excited to have Brandell as a featured artist in our Los Angeles gallery show. With her artwork, Brandell "seeks to interpret the complexity of the human dynamic from both a personal standpoint and a social perspective while revealing her fundamental desire to explore color. Influenced by artists such as Helen Frankenthaler and Marisa Purcell, (she) experiments with the application of oil and acrylic paint color to canvas. She uses hue, intensity, texture and composition to reflect a tactile experience (visual, felt, or perceived) for her audience."
